Woodlands Trust advertising

The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading charity dedicated solely to the protection of our native woodland heritage.

Their brief was to produce a campaign that would raise awareness of its work and attract fresh support. The Trust aims to educate families about the sustainable and inspiring resource that is their local and national woodlands. It was founded in 1972 and its activities are becoming increasingly relevant to everyone's future.

The campaign features a series of images and messages that provoke an emotional response from the viewer. Woodlands have a special atmosphere that makes them appealing as places of play, relaxation and rest. These posters provide a gentle reminder of those qualities to inspire the public to take action.

Posters

Childhood is often a source of unifying themes across different social, regional and age groups. In the first poster, as shown here, we conjure up memories of woodlands in fairy tales and other children's stories where there are realms of possibility and inspiration.

The second poster, as shown here, reminded older people to think of woodlands as a destination for their leisure time. This was part of representing an age demographic for the campaign.
