Dance Dates are a national organisation providing information about performing arts events. When Dance Dates commissioned DarkeJones to design their brand they were keen to reflect not only their connection with dance but also to communicate clearly what they do.

DarkeJones created a flexible mark, in which the word 'Dates' can be replaced by an actual date on posters and other printed material, which plays on the organisation's name. We felt this to be a striking and relevant way to reflect the role of the company. In addition to the mark, DarkeJones commissioned stunning imagery for use across all communications, capturing the dynamism of the dancers themselves.

Logo

The typography of the Dance Dates logo was deliberately understated, allowing the graphic element to stand out and, again, emphasised the organisation's role as a source of information.

Posters

These posters were aimed to reveal captured moments of beauty in dance and, in showing this to the public, giving a taste of what is on offer from  performing arts events. The colour of supporting graphics was changed according to the season to keep them eye-catching.

Literature

Dance Dates produced a quarterly brochure listing dance events for the coming season. This also employed the relevant seasonal colour and, most prominently, the eye-catching photography to good effect.
